Core Lessons for Crafting & Sharing Your Unique Story
As part of the launch for YOUR Big Story! (which is running now and making my heart warm every day), I shared an ebook with those who attended the Brand Storytelling 101 webinar I held in the leadup to the course launch. The ebook is a collection of posts from this newsletter that helped inform the shape and themes of YOUR Big Story (my storytelling foundations program in which I teach the process I use to tell stories of all kinds with new storytellers or those looking to level up).
Today I wanted to share that ebook with you. They’re the lessons I’ve learned on my adventure and shared with you over the past two years, edited and updated (and designed—within my limited capacity) to be an easy reference for folks looking to start to share their own stories with the world. Think of it as the Coles Notes version created so you don’t have to go digging through the newsletter archive to access these essential lessons in crafting and sharing your story.
I meant to share this long ago, but the world outside where I am has not been a particularly motivating or inspirational place. *Le sigh* hoping and expecting for that to change soon.

A Story Well Told
Have you been watching Abbot Elementary? You should be! It is a mocumentary style sitcom created by the hilarious Quinta Brunson that has charmed social media audiences since its debut in December 2021. Every new week brings anticipation and then reactions to the latest episodes via twitter. The show is about a group of dedicated teachers in an underfunded Philadelphia school and it is a joy to watch. Think The Office, but with teachers and more Black people. I giggle if not laugh out loud during every episode and it is just a bit of lightness and insight that’s helping me get through the dreary winter weather. Would love to hear what you think about it.
